Marietta Company Acquired in $365-Million Deal

Greenwich, Conn., transportation logistics company XPO has acquired Marietta's 3PD in a $365 million deal.
There will be no layoffs and 3PD will retain its Marietta offices, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Executives from 3PD will join XPO and continue to lead the 3PD operation, which delivers furniture, appliances, large-scale electronics and building supplies to manufacturers and retailers.
The deal was announced July 15, according to a statement from XPO.
