McEachern Athletic Director Gives Update on Winter Sports
The girls basketball team is continuing their quest for a state championship and to remain undefeated, Jim Dorsey says in the latest edition of the McEachern Messenger.

Basketball has a few regular season contests left to play and will begin the Region Tournament on Feb. 13, with the higher seeded teams hosting; finals will be at . Information regarding these games will be available soon.

Coach Arthur and continue their quest for a State Championship and to remain undefeated, ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 4 in the country, according to the USA Today polls. They have some big battles left within region play as many top-notch teams reside right here in our backyard.
Our boys basketball team is continuing to show great improvement at this point in the season, and Coach Thompson feels certain they are ready to make some noise in the Region Tournament. Getting several players healthy and back on the court seems to have provided the spark that was needed as they head down the home stretch.

Coach Hamburg and our wrestling team barely missed out on qualifying for the State Dual Wrestling Meet held earlier in the month. They now have their sights set to make a run for the State Individual Tournament with a good showing at the Area Tournament, which we will host here at on Saturday.
Swimming is winding down with their quest to qualify as many as possible for the State Meet, which will be held at Georgia Tech on Feb. 10-11. Coach Alexander-Lynch is very excited about the prospects of this year's team and their ability to qualify several swimmers for state competition.
Spring sports have begun try-outs and look forward to beginning their seasons soon! Please come out and support our student/athletes as they compete and represent our school on the fields, courts, mats and pools in the coming days. Go Indians!
