Powder Springs Millage Rate Staying Put

Residents of Powder Springs won’t be paying a higher rate of property taxes in the next fiscal year.

The city council unanimously voted Tuesday to set the city’s millage rate at 8.5 mills, a rate that has been unchanged since 2005.

The council opened a public hearing on the millage rate prior to voting on the issue, but no members of the public chose to speak.
