Powder Springs Police Recognize Employees of the Month

Officer Paul Reynolds and Lt. Lane Cadwell were given the award for January and February, respectfully.

The has begun to recognize outstanding work from its staff of 27 full-time officers, five part-time officers and five full-time civilian support staff with Employee of the Month awards.

Officer Paul Reynolds received the award for January for leading the department in arrests for the month.

"Many of his arrests were drug related, arresting subjects in possession of crack cocaine, meth, ecstasy, and marijuana," the department's Facebook page says. "Officer Reynolds was also instrumental in protecting the lives of two young children, who were being held against their will during a domestic call."

Lt. Lane Cadwell, who supervises the Criminal Investigation Division, received the award in February for doing "an incredible job of making sure cases are being effectively investigated, even while running short on manpower."

"His worth ethic, expertise and overall attitude are an example to all employees," the Facebook page says.
