Powder Springs Twins in Jennifer Lopez Movie
Sammy and Asher Howard, who were once motherless, malnourished babies in Ethiopia, are now on big screens across the U.S.
A movie currently in theaters features 2-year-old Ethiopian twins who, as motherless, malnourished babies, were adopted by a Powder Springs couple about a year and a half ago.
Scenes for What to Expect When You're Expecting—starring Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Rodrigo Santoro, Dennis Quaid and others—were being filmed in metro Atlanta when Ethiopian babies were needed as extras, Fox 5 reports.
The station says that that's when parents Meredith and Kindred Howard answered the call, and their boys, Sammy and Asher, were picked to share the part of Lopez and Santoro's adopted son.

But Meredith Howard writes in her blog that all the attention isn't about her family, and she and her husband "are not Toddlers and Tiaras type of parents."
"We do want to get the word out about not only the horrible orphan crisis, but also—and equally as important, if not more so—the tragedy that befalls so many mommies in developing countries—death during childbirth," she writes. "It is wrong. It is preventable. It is sad and tragic, and should not be happening as much as it does."

On the set, Sammy bonded with Lopez, while Asher took to Santoro, People reports.
"So Sammy is the one you see in just about all of the scenes with Jennifer, and Asher is in the dude scene with Rodrigo,” Kindred Howard told the magazine. “Between shooting, Rodrigo was taking pictures on his phone of he and Asher. It was the sweetest thing.”
Internal Movie Database describes the movie: "A look at love through the eyes of five interconnected couples experiencing the thrills and surprises of having a baby, and ultimately coming to understand the universal truth that no matter what you plan for, life doesn't always deliver what's expected.
