Rep. David Wilkerson Qualifies for Re-Election

State Representative David Wilkerson has officially qualified to run for re-election in the May 20th Democratic primary.

Elected in 2010, Rep. Wilkerson was selected by his colleagues to serve in the House Leadership as Treasurer of the House Democratic Caucus. A member of the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Juvenile Justice and Retirement Committees, Rep. Wilkerson has been hard at work this session.

The House recently passed House Bill 914, which was sponsored by Representative Wilkerson. The legislation is scheduled for a committee hearing in the Senate this week and Rep. Wilkerson is working to get the measure passed before the end of session. HB 914 will increase the level of reporting between the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) and school personnel when issues of suspected child abuse have been reported.
