Susan Ashe officiating. Mr. Wood was  a retired City of Atlanta firefighter and was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Louise Wood; children, Kimberly L. Norton and Brian of Yorkville, Ga., and Russell Wood and Stacey of Powder Springs; sisters, Louise Cain of Canton, and Audranell and James Lindsey of Leesburg, Ala.; brother, Corbett and Margaret Wood of White; grandchildren, Jeremy Norton and Whitley of Adairsville, Justin Norton and Amanda of Yorkville, Abigail Wood of Powder Springs, Madeline Wood of Powder Springs and Jacob Norton of Yorkville; great-grandchild, Kiley Norton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
