Six Hillgrove High Students Named Georgia Scholars

A total of 16 students from the Cobb County school system made the list as well.

Six graduating seniors from Hillgrove High School have been named 2016 Georgia scholars by the state Department of Education.

Charlie Boyter, Alex Boyter, Jacob Bristol, Bunmi Fariyike, Meghan O'Keefe and Bryce Payne are among the 151 students statewide who were recognized.

Through the program, the department identifies and honors high school seniors who have achieved excellence in school and community life. The program is coordinated by the department’s excellence recognition office and through local coordinators in each public school system and in private schools throughout the state. Each Georgia Scholar receives a seal for his or her diploma.
