Cherokee County recently partnered with Waste Management to host the collection drive for residents, which drew more than 125 participants.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Cherokee County, Waste Management and Premier Solutions recently joined forces to host an electronics recycling collection drive held at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Conference Center in Canton.

Participants in more than 125 cars recycled 14,500 pounds -- or a little more than 7 tons -- of electronics, Waste Management spokesperson Marla Prince told Patch.

Prince said the initiative, which has been done each year for the last several years, is usually held in conjunction with Cherokee County in the fall. Waste Management usually partners with the Canton of Canton for a similar event in the spring, Prince added.
