Benefits Expo Planned For Veterans, Military Members

ACWORTH, GA — Chattahoochee Technical College will host a resource and benefits expo for U.S. military members, veterans and their family members at its North Metro Campus.

The event, which is open to the public, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 27 in Building D on the campus located at 5198 Ross Road in Acworth. Attendees can expect to see more than 20 U.S. veteran service and support agencies at the expo, which will also have information sessions on finance, employment and educational opportunities.

A Department of Veterans Affairs medical team will be available to provide basic wellness checks, and U.S. Rep. “At Chattahoochee Technical College, we are proud to serve those who have served our country in the United States military,” said Barry Munday, Chattahoochee Tech veteran services coordinator. “It is a privilege and an honor for Chattahoochee Tech to host this event for military members, veterans and their family members.”

With more than 800 military-affiliated students, Chattahoochee Tech continues to have 15 percent or greater of all military-affiliated students in technical colleges in Georgia. Chattahoochee Tech was designated as one of the nation’s top Military Friendly Schools in December 2017 by Victory Media, the publisher of G.I. Jobs Magazine.
