CCSD Students Place At State Science & Engineering Fair
13 students from the Cherokee County School District placed at the State fair for Science & Engineering.

WOODSTOCK-TOWNE LAKE, GA - From Cherokee County School District: Thirteen Cherokee County School District students earned first-place awards at the Northwest Georgia Regional Science and Engineering Fair and advanced to State, where two won blue ribbons!
Creekland MS seventh-grader Danielle Satterfield at the 70th Georgia Science and Engineering Fair earlier this month in Athens earned first-place in the Physics & Astronomy category and was named a Broadcam Masters Nominee. Woodstock HS junior Chris Nikolov’s project in the Plant Sciences category won first-place honors at the State Fair.
They will be recognized by the Cherokee County School Board and Superintendent of Schools at the School Board’s May 3 meeting along with their fellow first-place Regional winners, several of whom also went on to place at State. Students also received special awards and scholarships at the Regional Fair from Cobb EMC, Gas South and Cherokee County Water and Sewerage Authority.
