Chattahoochee Tech Director Joins NCMPR Executive Board

As part of the national board of directors, Doeckel will serve as a voting member and help shape organizational policy.

From NCMPR: Dee Dee Doeckel of Woodstock, Georgia, was installed as treasurer of the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) at the organization’s national conference here in March. Doeckel previously served on the board as District 2 director.

Doeckel is the executive director for external affairs at Chattahoochee Technical College in northwest Georgia, serving the counties of Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Gilmer, Paulding and Pickens. She is responsible for strategic communications and advancement for the college and has been in marketing and sales for over 30 years. Previous positions include leadership roles within manufacturing organizations and community marketing director for the City of Rock Island, Illinois. Doeckel earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from St. Ambrose University, and a master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University. She is also a children’s book author.

As part of the national board of directors, Doeckel will serve as a voting member and help shape organizational policy and contribute to the planning of membership programs and services.

NCMPR supports the professional development of community college communicators, serving more than 1,700 members from nearly 530 colleges across the United States and Canada. It is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges and is one of the largest affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges.
