The chorus will take the stage July 19 at Aaron’s Amphitheater at Lakewood in Atlanta.

Foreigner has partnered with the Grammy Foundation to support its mission of maintaining and restoring music education in North America’s public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child’s complete education.

“As far as I’m concerned, music is not only the most powerful form of communication between the peoples of the world, it provides a gateway that opens up a fantastic new dimension of feeling and creativity,” Foreigner guitarist and founding member Mick Jones said. “Anything we can do to provide our young ones with the tools to express themselves through music, is our goal in this partnership.”

As part of its charity initiative, Foreigner is donating $500 to the choir to use towards its music program.

A Foreigner greatest hits CD set will be made available for purchase at the concert. Members of the choir will be selling the CD set to concertgoers both before and after the performance.

For $20, the buyer can purchase this live set that features all of the band’s classic hits and a raffle ticket that will enable them to enter a drawing to win an autographed Foreigner guitar. The guitar will be raffled off at the end of the performance. The proceeds from the sale of the CDs will be donated to the Grammy Foundation program.

Foreigner has also been involved with other charities including the American Red Cross, the Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals and the VH-1 Save the Music charity, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for these worthy causes.
