Gold Swimming's Maggie Robinson Heads for West Virginia Tech

In the fall, Chattahoochee Gold swim club's Maggie Robinson heads for Beckley, West Virginia to study and swim for the West Virginia Tech. She chose WV Tech because it's a technical school where she can pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. Maggie also believes that she's a good fit for the Golden Bears swim team. Her goal with the team is to help win Appalachian Athletic Conference championships.

Maggie's family relocated to Georgia in 2020 so she's been with Chattahoochee Gold for only two years. "My family found the club a few months after we moved here from Indiana in 2020 so my time here has been limited. In those short 2 years the best parts have been the friends I have made." Maggie thinks the biggest challenge was adapting to different coaching styles but that her Gold coaches have helped her excel. "Coach Lauren helped with my endurance, Coach Luke helped me realize what workout structure works best for me. Coach Charlie constantly pushed my limits and Coach Heidi encouraged me to continue my swimming career. Coach Macy helped me smile through the pain."
