Greenprints is a nonprofit organization that works with the city of Woodstock, business and community partners to raise awareness and support to implement the city’s Greenprints Master Plan approved by the city in 2008.

Greenprints’ Foundation Partnership with Premier Energy, which was completed earlier this year, provided funding for the executive director position.

Moore succeeds Jennifer Stockton, who has served as the volunteer executive director for the past three years.

“Gary has the passion, trail management experience and operational skills that Greenprints Alliance is looking for, plus a strong connection to the Woodstock mountain biking trail community,” said David Potts, chairman of the board of diretors. “His high standards and experience will help move the organization forward to implement the next phase of trail developmeht.”

Moore said he’s “very pleased to have the opportunity” to drive the vision of Mayor Donnie Henriques and the Woodstock City Council forward in its approval of the master plan.

“The Greenprints Alliance provides the focus and resources to ensure Woodstock realizes the vision and takes full advantage of our city’s natural beauty (while) becoming a healthier and even more desirable community in the process,” he added.

The Greenprints Master Plans calls for 60-plus miles of multi-use trails throughout the city, connecting neighborhoods, parks, schools and businesses, which Moore said will “fundamentally change the way” residents live and play.

“Gary arrives at a critical time to work with our board of directors to help ensure the Greenprints Alliance advocacy effort lives up to the community’s expectations and is delivered equitably around Woodstock,” said Ex-Officio Board Member Brian Stockton.

Moore has lived in Woodstock with his wife and daughters since 1995. He’s also the trail director with the Southern Off-Road Bike Association’s Woodstock chapter.

He was recently commissioned to help design the Dupree Park Family Mountain Biking Trails and is an inaugural member of the volunteer-based Woodstock Trail Watch Program.
