KKK Fliers Target Black Lives Matter
The latest fliers distributed in Cherokee County were discovered Thursday in a neighborhood off Kellogg Creek Road in Acworth.
ACWORTH, GA -- Residents in southwest Cherokee County woke up to a new batch of fliers advertising recruitment for the Ku Klux Klan in their driveways.
This time, the fliers take aim at the Black Lives Matter movement and Black Panthers. An image of the flier was shared Thursday afternoon with Patch from a resident, who said they were distributed in her neighborhood along Dearborn Drive.
Dearborn Drive sits to the west of Woodstock Road and just south of Kellogg Creek Road in Acworth.

These two aforementioned groups, the flier states, "are telling followers to kill white people and police officers in the name of justice for killing Negro's (sic) by policemen in the line of duty."

The organization goes on to encourage residents to join its ranks "before it's too late."

These latest set of fliers come of the heels of leaflets targeting transgender citizens were discovered in the driveways of Towne Lake Hills South residents.
Cherokee Sheriff's Office spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker previously told Patch that the agency on occasion gets reports about the fliers' presence in communities across the county.
"Although inflammatory, there is no violation of the law (in) dispersing this type of material," he added.
