You can honor Dolly Parton by enjoying a pint that benefits her Imagination Library and by donating coats for MUST Ministries. • Woodstock kills 'mini-Battery' soccer stadium deal (thegeorgiasun.com) — Woodstock's city council has rejected "The Pitch," a privately funded mixed-use project that would have brought a 2,500‑seat soccer stadium, hundreds of apartments, and new retail to Reagan Street and Ridgewalk Parkway. Concerns over parking plans tied to Woodstock City Church's lot and pedestrian safety along Ridgewalk Parkway helped sink the rezoning in a 4–2 vote, ending the mini‑Battery concept for now.
   

• CSO corporal accused of creating Facebook page to harass woman he arrested (fultonneighbor.com) — A Cherokee Sheriff's Office corporal is on paid leave amid an investigation into allegations he created a Facebook page to harass a Woodstock woman he previously arrested. The woman, who faces misdemeanor obstruction charges from an August 2025 incident at her home, says the page shared personal details and AI-generated images of her family. State and local agencies are now reviewing both the online conduct and the underlying case.
