Reinhardt Now Offers Online MBA Program And Sports Masters Degree

WALESKA, GA -- Reinhardty University is now offering two degrees online, including making it more convenient to earn a Master of Business Administration.

Beginning in this fall, an online option will be added to the University’s successful on-campus face-to-face MBA program.

"The new online MBA will open doors for those who have commitments preventing them from earning their MBA through the traditional on-campus option," Steve Morse, dean of the McCamish School of Business & Sport Studies, said in a release. “The MBA will make our high-quality faculty available to many more students around the United States and the world.”

In less than two years, those interested in pursuing an MBA can have it in hand. Some choose a graduate degree in business to increase their earning opportunity, while others want to learn new skill sets to use in their current positions.

According to the Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants survey of MBA applicants released in 2018, 57 percent of the 1,377 respondents said they wanted to gain new skills and knowledge about business. Forty-eight percent said they wanted access to a strong network with opportunities to advance in their careers. Thirty-eight percent said they wanted more earning power and 35 percent said they were pursing an MBA to make a positive difference in the world.

Reinhardt University’s online MBA affords graduates all the above. With real-world experienced faculty in a liberal arts setting, Reinhardt students gain more than just business knowledge in the program. And they can do it all at an affordable cost.

The online MBA is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools."

Additionally, the state of Georgia will now have its first 100 percent online sport-based master’s degree program at a private institution, and its home base is in Waleska at Reinhardt University. And it’s a master’s degree that can be completed in only one year.

The first semester of Reinhardt’s Master of Science in Sport Administration and Leadership will begin in August and will consist of 30 credit hours in 12 months.

"We see a need for a fully sport-based online master’s program in the state of Georgia," Joe Mullins, sport studies & PE program coordinator, said in a release. "The program will provide advanced skills for sports professionals looking to enter leadership or administration positions in all aspects of the sports industry."

As Georgia’s first fully online master’s degree related to sports offered at a private institution, students will benefit from a unique opportunity: earning their graduate degree with the flexibility of completing courses online while having the ability to work closely with faculty.

The program consists of eight, three-credit courses online and a six-credit hour professional capstone experience, in which student may choose to complete a 180-hour internship or a master’s project demonstrating excellence in the field.

Program outcomes include exhibiting leadership behaviors consistent with ethical sport administrators and applying communications and technology competencies required of sport administrators. Graduates from this program will also be able to analyze current and historical issues impacting sports administrators and integrate solutions to develop positive organizational cultures. Additionally, they will be able to comprehend the broader role of sport in society.
