River Ridge Student Wins Atlanta Braves Baseball Experience

A River Ridge High School student was recently named a winner of a company’s contest designed to allow special needs students attend Atlanta Braves baseball games.

Austen Reed, a student at the school in Woodstock, won the 2015 Superior Plumbing Club Contest, which allowed him to enjoy a Braves game from the exclusive Superior Plumbing Club at Turner Field.

Located between home plate and third base, the Superior Plumbing Club offers each guest an intimate setting from which to view the game. Superior Plumbing selects lucky special needs students from all across the Atlanta metro area to attend the home games at Turner Field.

According to his summary on Superior Plumbing’s website dedicated to the initiative, Austen is known as the No. 1 fan of River Ridge High School sports.

“He is the most friendly, outgoing student at RRHS with always a smile on his face and a skip in his step,” the summary about Austen states. “Austen is our constant encourager (sic) and motivator to not just football but to all River Ridge sports teams.”

For the contest, Superior Plumbing selects up to three lucky special needs students to attend with their parent or guardian. Each ticket comes with a $30 food and souvenir credit. This year, over a hundred special needs students will be enjoying summer baseball fun at Turner Field.
