Sam Olens Visits River Ridge High School
Georgia's attorney general visited the school in Woodstock raise awareness about his campaign against prescription drug abuse.

Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens recently paid a visit to a Woodstock school to speak to Cherokee County School District students about prescription drug abuse.
Olens visited River Ridge High School last week where he spoke to an assembly of students from the district’s criminal justice program.
Olens discussed the dangers of using prescription painkillers for recreation. The students also heard first-hand accounts of addiction and recovery from Randal Hipps and Dusty Leonard.

Olens also encouraged students to enter his video contest, “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” which is open to Georgia high school students to raise awareness about prescription drug abuse.
Olens has partnered with abuse prevention organizations and state agencies to sponsor the initiative, which is “designed for Georgia high school students to raise awareness and encourage teenagers to live a healthy lifestyle by rejecting prescription drug abuse,” according to the contest website.

Any Georgia high school student is eligible to participate by producing an original 30-second video explaining why they choose to live a life free of prescription drug abuse.
The deadline to submit videos is Oct. 31.
