Smith Douglas Homes Celebrates Milestones in 2014

Metro Atlanta homebuilder Smith Douglas Homes has enjoyed a fantastic 2014, which has proven to be a milestone year. The builder has celebrated a variety of accomplishments, including a major corporate rebranding, surpassing its sales goal and moving its corporate headquarters.

Since its establishment in 2008, Smith Douglas Homes has aimed to provide Atlanta homebuyers with better quality, lower pricing and more square footage per home than any other similar builder in the market. To better represent this desire and its primary function as a homebuilder, the company underwent a major rebranding from Smith Douglas Communities to Smith Douglas Homes.

After rebranding, Smith Douglas relocated its corporate headquarters to its new location on Highway 92 just minutes from downtown Woodstock. Offering nearly five times the office, storage and meeting space than the previous location, the builder now has 42 employees. The new corporate office space also allowed the newly-formed SDC Realty team a place to call home. Launched in March 2014, SDC Realty’s team of 21 employees markets the new home listings from Smith Douglas Homes.

As proof of the positive changes that Smith Douglas Homes has made throughout 2014, the builder recently closed on its 400th home, and it expects to close a total of 475 homes this year. This number far surpasses its 2013 sales of 300 homes! In addition to reaching this sales milestone, Smith Douglas Homes has also opened its very first community in both Hall County and Bartow County. With these additions, Smith Douglas Homes now builds in Cherokee, Paulding, Bartow, Forsyth, Gwinnett and Hall counties.
