Joel Buchanan Hustad of Woodstock is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, which occurred around 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10.
Officers were dispatched to Kroger at 2100 Roswell Road in Marietta. According to investigators, a male entered the store “appearing as a customer.”

The man, later identified by police as Hustand, approached an employee at the self-checkout lanes, produced a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect then fled the business in an unknown direction.
Hustad remains held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
