Woodstock Students Earn Adult, Pediatric CPR/AED Certification
Students in the school's Early Childhood Development Career Pathway are the first in the school district to earn the certification.

Woodstock High School Early Childhood Development Career Pathway students are the first in the Cherokee County School District to earn adult and pediatric CPR/AED certification.
Completing the requirements for both certifications is required for students who are earning career certifications to work with young children.

Twenty-eight students in teacher Heather Bolt’s second- and third-year early childhood development classes took part in CPR and fire safety training.
Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services Safety Educator Sgt. Babette Davis and the American Heart Association provided training and assistance.

“It was a great experience, and I can’t wait to be able to put it to use,” student Jadi Anderman said of the training.
Students said it was empowering to gain life-saving skills and appreciated the opportunity provided by Mrs. Bolt and volunteers as well as the continued support of school administration for the program.
“I loved getting certified because it’s made me a lot more confident in babysitting young kids,” student Mykhalia Chepelsky said.
