ENV Lifting Limits At Transfer Stations To Aid Flood Recovery In Honolulu
This expanded, free-of-charge service, is limited to residential waste only.

HONOLULU – The city’s Department of Environmental Services is lifting its two-loads-per-day limits for the rest of March at its three transfer stations to allow residents affected by the recent flooding to dump their waste items. This expanded, free-of-charge service, is limited to residential waste only.

The three locations are Kawailoa Transfer Station (62-180 Kawailoa Rd., Haleiwa.), Kapaa Transfer Station (100 Kapaa Quarry Access Rd., Kaneohe), and Keehi Transfer Station (606 Middle St., Honolulu). For hours of operation, go to www.opala.org.
A two-load limit will remain in place at the six convenience centers to ensure limited service disruptions at those facilities.

Unacceptable waste items include hazardous waste, dirt, rocks and soil. Commercial waste is subject to fees and the hauler must have an account with the city.
