Lead remediation project to close parts of Koko Head Shooting Complex
Phased closures beginning Monday, Nov. 16, scheduled to finish in mid-December

HAWAI‘I KAI – A lead remediation project for the gallery areas of the Koko Head Shooting Complex will require the phased closure of specific shooting ranges beginning next week through mid-December 2020.

These closures are scheduled to be conducted under the following timetable:

Pistol Range Closed: Monday, Nov. 16 – Friday, Nov. 20

Rifle Range Closed: Monday, Nov. 23 – Tuesday, Dec. 8

Silhouette Range Closed: Wednesday, Dec. 9 – Wednesday, Dec. 16

This project will not impact the other ranges in the complex, including the archery range.

The over $146,000 contract for this project was awarded to Unitek Insulation, Inc.
