Freeze Warning, Temps In 30s, But Warmup By End Of Weekend For IL
Sub-freezing temperatures are possible Friday night into Saturday.

ILLINOIS — If you have any sensitive plants outside, you will want to cover them or bring them in, as widespread frost is expected Friday night into Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service said temps are expected to fall into the low to mid-30s and upper 20s overnight into Saturday. Widespread frost will develop, and there could be a few hours of sub-freezing temperatures.
A freeze warning is in effect until 7 a.m. for parts of Kane, Kendall, Lake and McHenry counties.

A frost advisory is also in effect for DuPage, Will, Grundy and Cook counties.
The weather service has also issued a frost advisory for DuPage and Cook counties from 1 to 9 a.m. Saturday.

But expect a big warmup in the morning. The high for Saturday is 60 degrees, and it should be sunny and dry, according to the weather service. Frost is possible again on Saturday night, as temps dip into the 30s once more.
Sunday will be warmer, with a high of 70 degrees, and should be sunny and dry again. Warmer temperatures will continue into the beginning of the work week, with a high of 71 on Monday and a high of 76 on Tuesday, according to the weather service.
AccuWeather also called for a "sunny and milder" day on Sunday for the Chicago Marathon.
