Diane Wojowski, of Homer Glen, sent us this photo she took of her grandson, Logan, who she said, "loves exploring our yard and found an earthworm. Wojowski added, "he was thrilled to pick one up and hold it in his hand for the first time."

Donna McCormack photographed these white pelicans, who were in Orland Park for their migration visit.

Sheila Roos was checking out the sunset along a trail she was biking in Deer Grove East Forest Preserve when she took this photo.

Bonnie Schmitt saw these sandhill cranes and got a nice photograph in Wheaton.

Gloria Lopez, of Grayslake, sent in this photo, telling us "a single tulip can bring you joy."

Lisa Sidles got this great shot of her church, Oswego Presbyterian Church, in Oswego. She said, "I love the way the sky looks, the tree, the cross and the shadow of the tree."

David Fitzgerald was crossing the Madison Street bridge in downtown Chicago when he decided to pull out his camera and get this shot of tourists taking the architectural boat tour.

Samantha Bruzdzinski shared with us this photo she took of a baby horned owl in a pine tree in her north Wheaton neighborhood. She tells Patch, "the horned owls have lived in the neighborhood for a while, and you can hear them at night. The mom was in a tree nearby, watching out for her baby."
