Algonquin Home Damaged in Electrical Fire
No one was injured in the blaze at 11962 Kingston Place in Algonquin Saturday night.

Firefighters were called to 11962 Kingston Place in Algonquin at 10:29 p.m. Saturday for a structure fire, according to an Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District press release.
Fire crews first on scene found a two-story single family home with smoke showing from the roof of the house. The homeowner directed firefighters to an exhaust fan that was burning in an upstairs bathroom, according to the news release.
All occupants were able to safely get out of the home and no one was injured. Two cats were also unharmed.
Firefighters declared the blaze out at 10:42 p.m. and crews remained on the scene until midnight investigating, ventilating the home and checking for extension. The fire was determined to be electrical in nature. A damage estimate is not yet available.
Assistance was provided by the Carpentersville, Crystal Lake, Fox River Grove, East Dundee and Cary Fire Departments as well as the McHenry County Sheriff.
