Algonquin Library Employees Recognized for Service

Service begins with a smile and the Algonquin Area Public Library staff has lots to smile about!

At the annual Employee & Trustee Recognition and Awards Event in December, the Algonquin Library recognized 11 individuals from 5 to 15 years of service. Their combined service totals 105 years.

Director Lynn Elam and Library Board President, Lynn Hammerlund presided over the award ceremony and presented the awards.  Each employee's manager recognized their staff member's accomplishments with words of affirmation, humorous anecdotes and heartfelt appreciation! Five year service awards were given to Heather Madson, Carrie Merchant and Deborah Finkler.  Ten year recipients were Keiko Kephart, Laura Flynn, Koren Power, Alicia Parmele, Vicki Roberts and Catherine Bulla. Fifteen year awards were presented to Denise Devers and Debbie Miller.
