Upcoming Pilots' Association Meetings, Lesson on Customer Service
Sorry for the long absence, click to find out where I've been and what is new here at the airport.
Hello everyone, sorry for the long stretch of no blogs. As you probably assumed, I was a bit tied up with getting married as well as heading to Hawaii for a brief honeymoon.
Before I begin, I want to just remind everyone that good customer service goes a long way and should be encourage and recognized. While I was at O'Hare airport to leave for the honeymoon, I experienced so many negative customer service issues. Most of these issues were just attitudes of people but then there were some where I had to sit back and ask myself what happened to a friendly smile and someone being courteous. One gentleman who worked for United as a customer service rep, was texting on his phone while I tried to talk to him and began laughing while I was explaining why the delays were causing my honeymoon to be delayed. If you are like me and work in a customer service field, take a few minutes everyday and just ask if you would be happy with the service you are providing from the other side of the desk, counter, or phone line.
Alright, sorry for the rant there. Thursday (Aug. 25) at 6:30 pm the Lake in the Hills Pilots' Association is going to have its next meeting. Our guest speaker will be Manny Gomez, the new Lake in the Hills Airport Manager. This is a very special guest as our group is hoping to work with the village of Lake in the Hills in the future to provide fundraising opportunities as well as just making the airport more friendly.

If you were planning on coming to see a few planes, give me a call or email and I will set up a personal tour for you to meet a few pilots and see a few planes as well.My phone number is 815-356-7600 and email address is dwatson@allstate.com.
