Rams Win Showdown of Fox Valley Conference Division Champions
In a showdown between the Valley Champion Red Raiders and the Fox Champion Rams, the Rams were victorious at home by the final score of 52-47.
The Fox Valley Conference put in place this year an end of season crossover game between the Fox Division team and their corresponding Valley Division team (first plays first, second plays second and so on).
The Huntley Red Raiders, who won the Valley Division this season, went to Grayslake Central to take on the Fox Division Champion Rams. The matchup promised to be interesting with the tough defense of Huntley and the high scoring offense of Grayslake Central.
The Rams were hot early and were up 12-5 before the Raiders rallied to take a 16-15 lead at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was also very close until Huntley turned the ball over just before halftime and the Rams connected on a three pointer at the buzzer to take a 32-28 lead into the locker room.

Grayslake scored the first basket of the third off another Huntley turnover and jumped out to their biggest lead at 38-30 and finished the third quarter up 39-36.
Huntley pulled within 1 point at 39-38 but Grayslake responded with a 3-pointer to go back up 4. Bryce Only responded with 2 of his team high 16 points on a basket in the post to make the score 42-40. The Rams continued to make big plays and they answered with a 3 point play to lead 45-40. Troy Miller (9 points) gave Huntley one last chance when he buried his 3rd 3-pointer of the game to make the score 47-45 but GLC made 5 of 6 free throws down the stretch as Huntley was forced to foul.
