Rough Second Quarter Sinks Red Raiders

Huntley varsity girls basketball loses a Valley Division road game to Jacobs, 60-50.

The Huntley girls varsity basketball team played three solid quarters against Jacobs on Friday night but a poor 2nd quarter allowed Jacobs to come away with a 60-50 victory over the visiting Red Raiders.

Huntley led 13-11 after the first period but gave up 23 points in the second and only scored 4 themselves to fall behind 34-17.

Huntley outscored Jacobs 13-10 in the third and 20-16 in the fourth but it wasn't enough.  The Raiders are now 11-10 overall and 5-4 in the Valley Division.

Sam Andrews led Huntley with 22 points and Abbey Shaw was also in double figures with 15.
