I will be bringing a male voice to Algonquin Patch. From beer and cigars and sports to avoiding Randall Road traffic on a Saturday, you'll hear my thoughts and opinions and look forward to yours as well.
In this blog, I am going to bring a guy’s/dad’s perspective on life in and around Algonquin. I have no industry, business, cause, or agenda to promote, so these are my musings for better or worse in Tales from the Algonquin Man Cave.
My wife and I have lived in Algonquin for 10 years. The first five on the far east side of town and the last five on the far west side of town. We have a 2-year-old son and another son due in July. (Expect some late-night, bleary-eyed blogs come late summer on what the lack of sleep does to one's psyche)

I have written in the past for both the Chicago Tribune and Northwest Herald. Currently I work as an estimator for an industrial supply company.
My interests are varied and I will be sharing the guy's/dad's perspective on life in Algonquin and beyond.
