Burglar Tries to Break Into Residence on Algonquin Road
In addition, three daytime burglaries have been reported in Huntley in recent weeks.

HUNTLEY, IL - The Huntley Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down a suspect accused of trying to break into a home on Algonquin Road Tuesday morning. The attempted burglary in the area of 11300 Algonquin Road comes after the police department received three daytime residential burglaries in recent weeks, police said. All of those burglaries targeted multi-unit complexes, such as a duplex or townhome, in Huntley.
The burglaries are mainly being reported on the north side of Huntley, police said.
At about 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police said a male suspect attempted to break into the residence in the 11300 block of Algonquin Road and was last seen driving west in a light-colored SUV on Algonquin Road.

The male suspect is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He was wearing a hoodie and black clothing, according to a press release from the Huntley Police Department.
Authorities are asking residents to be vigilant and watch out for their neighbors.
