Coroner Identifies Men Killed in Lake in the Hills Crash
The crash occurred at Oak Street and Pyott Road in Lake in the Hills early Saturday.

The McHenry County Coroner’s Office has identified the two men killed over the weekend in a crash in Lake in the Hills.
The driver in the crash, Blake C. Bishop, 45, formerly of Lake in the Hills, and a passenger, John Douglas Baxter, Jr., 49, formerly of Crystal Lake, both died following a crash at Oak Street and Pyott Road at 12:06 a.m. on Saturday, according to a McHenry County Coroner’s Office press release.
Autopsies Monday revealed Bishop died of multiple blunt force injuries to the head and neck and Baxter died of blunt force injuries to his head, neck, chest, abdomen and extremities. Toxicology is pending for both men.

The crash occurred when the northbound vehicle left the roadway, became airborne and eventually landed on its roof, according to an earlier news release from the McHenry County Coroner’s Office. The crash remains under investigation by the Lake in the Hills Police Department and the coroner’s office.
