Coroner IDs Woman, 85, Killed in Carpentersville Crash
The crash happened Sunday morning on Route 25.

Authorities have identified the 85-year-old Carpentersville woman killed in a Carpentersville crash on Sunday morning as Katherine L. Vusko.
Vusko’s vehicle was struck by a vehicle heading south on Route 25 at Fir Street as she attempted to pull out onto Route 25 at about 11:30 a.m., authorities told the Elgin Courier-News.
Vusko was taken to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin where she was pronounced dead. The other driver, a 23-year-old Hanover Park resident, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the Elgin Courier-News.

Vusko's preliminary cause of death was due to multiple injuries due to a "vehicle mishap," according to the coroner's office.
The crash closed southbound Route 25 in the area of Kings Road two hours on Sunday.
