Drunk Man at Bank / Trespassing, DUI Arrests / Hit and Run: LITH Police Reports

A look at recent arrests made in Lake in the Hills.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL - The Lake in the Hills Police Department made the following arrests in recent days:

Sean C. Harris, 28, of 813 Dogwood Court in Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 1:15 a.m. on May 13 at Heartland Gate and Miller Road in Lake in the Hills. Harris was wanted on a warrant out of McHenry County for battery and disorderly conduct. His bond was set at $1,500 and he was later released on bond.

Daisy A. Sandoval, 24, of 1352 Cunat Court in Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 12:34 a.m. on May 13 on two counts of domestic battery. She was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.

Javier M. Venegas, 46, of Lake Zurich, was arrested at 9:05 a.m. on May 13 on Polaris Drive for criminal trespassing. He was later released on bond.

Joseph M. Grady, 23, of 2948 Talaga Drive in Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 3:14 a.m. on May 14 in the 200 block of North Randall Road. Grady was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI over the legal BAC limit and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was later released on bond.

A 17-year-old Crystal Lake boy was arrested at 8:28 p.m. on May 12 at Haddon Court and Hillsboro Lane and charged with unlawful possession by a minor. He was later released to a parent.


The police department also responded to the following reports in recent days:

May 12 Police Reports

  • Police received a report of garbage that was taken out several day prior to scheduled pick up in the 300 block of Crystal Lake Road.
  • Police responded to Home State Bank, 50 W. Acorn Lane, at 7:54 p.m. on May 12 regarding a 39-year-old man who was intoxicated. He was taken to Centegra Hospital in Huntley for a well-being check.

May 13 Police Reports

  • Authorities responded to Thorntons, 2265 W. Algonquin Road, at 4:38 a.m. for a report of three subjects acting inappropriately.
  • Police were called to the Sunset Park skate park, 9200 Haligus Road, at 12:18 p.m. for a report of a vehicle that was struck by a vehicle that then left the scene.

May 14 Police Reports

  • Police responded to the 1200 block of Cherry Street at 7:32 a.m. on May 14 for a report of a vehicle that was taken from the owner's driveway. A Lake in the Hills officer is investigating the theft.
  • Police received a report of a vehicle's sunroof that was shattered due to the heat at 2:07 p.m. on May 14 at Algonquin Road and Annandale Drive.
