Algonquin Driver Severely Injured in Crash Now Faces DUI, Drug Charges: Prosecutors

The Algonquin man is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs following the Oct. 25 crash.

A 27-year-old Algonquin man faces charges for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs after he crashed with another car on Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates in October, according to the Daily Herald. Skylar Kendrick broke 21 bones during the Oct. 25 crash and was wearing neck and back braces when he appeared in court Wednesday where a $75,000 bail was issued.

Kendrick was traveling 90 to 100 mph when the crash occurred and was ejected from his car, according to the article. Officers recovered cocaine from his vehicle. No one else was injured in the crash.
