DUI Charges / Teen Charged With Domestic Battery / Speeding 40 MPH Over Limit: Blotter
A look at recent arrests made in Algonquin.

ALGONQUIN, IL - The Algonquin Police Department made the following arrests in recent weeks:
- Police took Santana M. Curtis, 30, of 7 Oxford Drive #12 in Carpentersville, into custody at 8:18 p.m. on June 1 at 1410 Randall Road. Curtis was charged with retail theft. She was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- A 16-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at 10:52 p.m. on June 1 at Randall and Commerce. She was charged with speeding (over 40 mph over the speed limit) and GDL driving time limit. He was released to a parent, with a court date in McHenry County.
- Carol A. Hahn, 53, of 1 Edgebrook Court in Algonquin, was arrested at Route 31 and Route 62 at 11:24 p.m. on June 4. She was charged with DUI and driving too fast for conditions. She was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- German Perez-Garcia, 31, of 1203 Cherry Street in Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 12:49 a.m. on May 28 at Algonquin and Apache. He was charged with DUI and improper lane usage. He was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- Marc Sonderman, 62, of 2220 Tahoe Parkway, was arrested at 6:57 p.m. on May 31 and charged with domestic battery. He was taken into custody at his home and transported to the McHenry County Jail.
- Oscar B. Torres, 32, of Chicago, was arrested at West Algonquin and Berg streets at 12:59 a.m. on May 26. He was charged with driving while license suspended and expired license plate. He was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- Joshuan E. Barreto-Rosado, 22, of 1710 Mark Avenue Apt. 7 in Elgin, was arrested for at 400 S. Randall Road at 3:19 p.m. on May 26. He was charged with retail theft and was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- A 16-year-old Algonquin girl was arrested at 6:21 p.m. on May 26 at 2437 Stonegate Road. She was charged with domestic battery. She was referred to Court Services and released to a parent.
