Ex-Crystal Lake Man Arrested for Giving Woman Fatal Heroin Dose
Herman Trigg, now of Palatine, is being held on $2.5M bond after being charged with felony drug-induced homicide Saturday.
A former Crystal Lake man who now lives in Palatine was arrested over the weekend after being accused of giving a McHenry woman a fatal amount of heroin, according to a Daily Herald report.
Herman B. Trigg, 31, was taken into custody Saturday on a warrant for drug-induced homicide, a Class X felony that carries a sentence of six to 30 years in jail, the report stated. On April 2, Trigg is accused of giving Melissa A. Carroll, 30, a lethal dose of heroin, which she ingested late, the report added.

Trigg also faces another felony drug charge in a separate incident after being picked up April 6 with heroin and marijuana, the report stated.
Trigg is currently in jail being held on $2.5 million bond, and his court date is Aug. 4.
