Fireplace Causes Blaze at Algonquin Home: Authorities

ALGONQUIN - A fireplace caused a blaze that damaged a single-family home at 433 S. River Road in Algonquin early Sunday morning, according to the Northwest Herald. Firefighters responded around midnight and found the fire in the walls adjacent to the fireplace. They were able to extinguish the blaze within twenty minutes.
All of the home’s occupants were able to safely get out and a damage estimate was not immediately available, according to the newspaper.
