At Home Grand Opening Is Feb. 16

Clear your weekend plans: the home decor superstore has opened at Randall and Algonquin roads.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL -- The At Home store in Lake in the Hills is officially open. The 83,835-square-foot home decor superstore at 101 Randall Road has more than 50,000 home decor items, including furniture, mirrors, rugs, art and housewares as well as tabletop, patio and seasonal decor items, according to a news release from At Home. The superstore opened in a long-vacant space, once occupied by Dominick's, at the high-traffic intersection of Algonquin and Randall Roads.

At Home is leasing the space from U-Haul International, which purchased the 72,000-square-foot Dominick's and other shops in the strip mall earlier this year. At Home added on 11,000 square feet to the former Dominick's to make room for its store. U-Haul has also opened a retail space at the strip mall.

The At Home store is the fifth in Chicago area.

"As we strategically grow our national footprint, we are excited to open our fifth store in the Chicago market," said Lee Bird, At Home Chairman and CEO . "Our vast selection of on-trend styles is winning over home décor customers who want it all: value, variety and an inspiring, hands-on shopping experience."

Shoppers will find style ideas throughout the store, which is based on a warehouse model with continually updated items that showcase the latest trends and seasonal products, store officials said. An average of 400 new products arrive each week.
