Huntley Boy Hit by Truck While Riding Scooter

The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

HUNTLEY, IL - A Huntley boy is being treated at an area hospital after being hit by a truck while riding his electric scooter across a street in Huntley Wednesday evening. The boy, who is between 10 and 12 years old, is being treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The accident happened at about 6:10 p.m. at the intersection of Ackman Road and Founders Field Boulevard, according to the Northwest Herald.

The boy, who was wearing a helmet, was crossing Founders Field Road at a crosswalk when he was hit by the truck, the Northwest Herald reports.
