Huntley Man, 22, Killed in Crash on the Kennedy Expressway
Police have identified the man killed in the Friday crash as Griffin Krewer.

CHICAGO, IL - A 22-year-old killed in a crash on the Kennedy Expressway on Friday morning has been identified as a Huntley man, the Northwest Herald reports.
A preliminary investigation by the Illinois State Police revealed Griffin Krewer was driving a purple Dodge Caravan south on the expressway at Harlem Avenue at a “significant amount of speed” when the van struck a Ford pickup truck, according to the article.
The crash caused a four-car pileup that closed the inbound Kennedy for several hours, according to the Daily Herald. A 42-year-old Chicago man driving a Chevrolet Cruze was treated for injuries.

Krewer’s Facebook page listed his hometown as Lake in the Hills. He attended Crystal Lake South High School.
