Lake in the Hills Police to Host Free Women's Safety Series in October

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL - The Lake in the Hills Police Department will be hosting a free three-week safety series for women in October.
The classes will be held on Oct. 12, 19 and 26 at the Lake in the Hills Police Department Safety Education Center, 1109 Crystal Lake Road, and will address the “threats and safety challenges that women face in today’s environments,” according to a village of Lake in the Hills press release. Topics will include: social/personal safety, social media safety, domestic and dating violence, sexual assault and stalking and defensive tactics.
The class is meant for women ages 17 years old and older and will be limited to 20 participants. Those interested in registering should e-mail aschmitt@lith.org or sfeely@lith.org.

The Oct. 12 class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. and the Oct. 19 and 26 classes will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
