LITH Man Faces Child Porn Charges

If convicted of distributing child pornography, he will serve up to 20 years.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — A Lake in the Hills man is facing federal child pornography charges after explicit images of children were found on multiple computers.

Paul Christmann, 50, was indicted by a grand jury Tuesday on counts, some dating back to 2013, of transporting and possessing child pornography. He's accused of distributing the child pornography as well, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted the FBI in the investigation.

It is unknown whether he is in custody or when his next court date is.

If convicted of possession of child pornography, Christmann faces up to 10 years in prison. If convicted of distribution, he may serve up to 20 years.
