LITH Police to Award Slurpees for Good Deeds
Police officers will also be handing out vouchers for a 7-Eleven slurpee to those practicing safety.

For 22 years, 7-Eleven has helped police departments around the country connect with the community. This year, 7-Eleven and the Lake in the Hills Police Department have partnered with police officers participating in #OperationChill. Police officers will be looking for and rewarding kids and young adults doing good deeds and practicing safety.
Such things would include but are not limited to: wearing bike helmets or protective skate board gear, wearing seat belts, doing good deeds like helping their families, participating in community activities/organizations, participating in safety programs and more, according to a news release.
If community youth are "caught in the act," officers can “ticket” them with a coupon for a free small Slurpee drink at any participating 7-Eleven store.

"Our officers are excited to get out there, meet and give out the Slurpee coupons to community youth who exemplify the traits of what Lake in the Hills community members are known. Those being caring, thoughtful, safe and responsible individuals," said Lake in the Hills Officer Amanda Schmitt in a news release.
