LITH Police Investigating Crash That Injured Motorcyclist
The crash happened Friday night in Lake in the Hills.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL - A 42-year-old motorcyclist was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday night in Lake in the Hills.
The crash occurred when a Yamaha motorcycle driven by Dustin Dietz, 42, which was traveling north on Randall Road just north of Village Road at 7:23 p.m., struck the rear side of a Jeep Wrangler. Dietz was ejected from the motorcycle, according to Lake in the Hills police.
The Crystal Lake Fire Department responded and tended to the motorcyclist, who was transported to Sherman Hospital. The motorcyclist was then transferred to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, according to the news release.

Officers from the Lake in the Hills Traffic Accident Investigation Unit were called to the scene and Randall Road was reduced to one lane in each direction for approximately 2.5 hours while the traffic crash was investigated.
The crash still remains under investigation.
