Warrant Arrest

Police arrested Roberto Hernandez, 43, on a McHenry County warrant for failure to appear on a driving while license revoked charge. Hernandez was arrested at his home, 805 Longwood Drive, Algonquin, at 11:46 a.m. July 2. He was released after posting $500 and is due in court July 12 in McHenry County.

Retail Theft

Police arrested Mark J. Belousek, 34, at 6:24 p.m. July 2 at Meijer, 400 S. Randall Road, Algonquin, on a charge of retail theft. Belousek, of 9844 Bedford Drive, Huntley, was released on a notice to appear and is due in court Aug. 29 in Algonquin,

Possession of Marijuana

Police arrested Mark T. Flis, 23, at 9:58 p.m. July 2 at 1440 Carlisle St., Algonquin, on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Flis, of 3808 Parsons Road, Carpentersville, was released after posting $150 and is due in court Aug. 8 in McHenry County.

Warrant Arrest

Police arrested Matthew W. Kasper, 19, at 5:59 p.m. July 3 on a McHenry County warrant on charges of committing a hate crime, mob action, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of aggravated battery. Kasper, of 206 Hillcrest Drive, Algonquin, was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive, Algonquin, He was released after posting $3,000 and was due in court July 5 in McHenry County. Police also arrested Michael S. Kasper, 22, also of 206 Hillcrest Drive, on a McHenry County warrant for aggravated battery and mob action. He was released after posting $2,000 and was due in court July 5 in McHenry County.

Criminal Damage to Property, Battery

Police arrested Hlishes B. Willis, 55, at 2:17 p.m. July 4 at 124 S. Randall Road, Algonquin, on charges of criminal damage to property and battery. Willis, of Park Forest, was transported to McHenry County Jail, where he was unable to post bond.

Retail Theft

Police arrested Wioletta Z. Tambor, 44, at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road, Algonquin, for retail theft. Tambor, of Hoffman Estates, was released on a notice to appear and is due in court Aug. 29 in Algonquin.

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Kunal K. Vashi, 26, at 12:20 a.m. July 6 at Route 62 and Route 25, Algonquin, on charges of driving while license suspended, no proof of insurance and improper lane use. Vashi, of Palatine, was released after posting $150. He is due in court Aug. 15 in McHenry County.

Warrant Arrest

Police arrested Roosevalt D. Collins, 27, at 7:48 p.m. July 6 on a DeKalb County warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge. Collins, of Chicago, was taken into custody at 1410 S. Randall Road, Algonquin, He was released after posting $500. A court date of July 20 was set in DeKalb County.

DUI

Police arrested Janet L. Trusty, 31, at 3:02 a.m. July 7 on charges of driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane use, speeding and failure to signal. Trusty, of Wonder Lake, was taken into custody at Algonquin Road and Meyer Drive, Algonquin, She was released after posting $100 and her Illinois driver's license. She is due in court Aug. 15 in McHenry County.

Leaving the Scene of Accident

Police arrested Brian A. Hall, 23, at 8:37 p.m. July 7 on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident. Hall, of Livingston, Tenn., was taken into custody at 501 E. Algonquin Road. He was transported to McHenry County Jail when unable to post bond.

Violation of an Order of Protection

Police arrested John R. Berg, 59, at 1:15 a.m. July 8 at his home 1114 Pine St., Algonquin, on three counts of violation of an order of protection. Berg was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Michael K. Mottashed, 24, at 9:25 a.m. July 8 at Route 31 and Route 62 on charges of driving while license suspended and expired registration. Mottashed, of Wayne, Ill., was released on a personal recognizance bond and is due in court Aug. 15 in McHenry County.

DUI/Drug Charges

Police arrested Daniel B. Kolakowski, 21, of Chicago, at 12:28 a.m. July 4 at Steak ’n Shake, 211 N. Randall Road, Algonquin, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, disobeying a traffic-control device, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal possession/transportation of liquor, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana under 2.5 grams. He was turned over to McHenry County Jail.

DUI

Police arrested Anthony C. Busch, 48, at 1:48 a.m. July 4 at Heartland Gate and Miller Road in Lake in the Hills on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. Busch was released on bond.

Driving While License Revoked

Police arrested Lee Ann DeFabio, 55, of Hampshire, at 7:46 a.m. July 5 on charges of driving while license revoked, disobeying a traffic-control device and no insurance. She was released on bond.

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Larissa A. Sovcik, 18, at 11:23 p.m. July 5 at Randall and Village roads on charges of driving while license suspended and disobeying a traffic-control device. She was released on bond.

Warrant Arrests

Police arrested David J. Knight, 36, at 1:03 a.m. July 7 at the Lake in the Hills Police Department, 1115 Crystal Lake Road, Lake in the Hills, on a Kane County sheriff's warrant for driving under the influence, and a McHenry County sheriff's warrant for failure to appear for driving under the influence of alcohol. Knight, of 1404 Adams Drive, Lake in the Hills, was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.

Battery

Police arrested Samantha J. McLean, 38, at 5:52 p.m. July 8, in the 2300 block of Claremont Lane, Lake in the Hills, on a charge of battery. McLean, of 2371 Claremont Lane, Lake in the Hills, was released on bond.
