Male Victim Seriously Injured in Shooting at Elgin Home
A person sustained life-threatening injuries in the shooting Sunday morning at a home in Elgin.

ELGIN, IL - A person was seriously injured Sunday morning in a shooting at a home in Elgin.
Elgin police were called to the 700 block of Wing Street for a report of male shooting victim inside a home, police said. Officers found the male victim was possibly involved in an altercation inside the home when he was shot.
The victim sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to Presence Saint Joseph Hospital for treatment, according to a news release. The shooting remains under investigation.
